The Austin Diagnostic Clinic

Welcome to Austin

The Austin Diagnostic Clinic has over 110 physicians in 21 medical specialties. It is one of the most respected multi-specialty clinics in the metro-Austin area.

Our mission statement is simple: enhance patient care through interaction and cooperation. This cooperative spirit promotes excellence in the provision of medical services to the patients we serve.

When you need medical care quickly, ADC’s EasyCare Clinic provides same-day, after-hours and weekend appointments for adults and children.  We are not a hospital , so there’s never a hospital deductible for this service.  EasyCare is open 7 days a week for ADC patients and for the general public.

ADC’s imaging services include general radiology (X-rays), digital mammography, CT scans, MRIs, and breast and obstetric ultrasounds. We have laboratories on-site in our offices to ensure that labs are done quickly and conveniently.  And if you’re traveling abroad, ADC’s Travel Clinic can assist you with vaccinations and travel advice to keep you healthy away from home.

Several ADC physicians are fluent in more than a dozen languages.  Whether you speak Spanish or Urdu, they can discuss your care clearly and directly.

For over a decade, ADC continues to lead locally in the use of electronic medical records (EMRs).  With our EMR, all ADC physicians have an accurate, up-to-date picture of your medical condition. As a patient in our system, you have the opportunity to track your prescription medications, lab and test results. You may also request an appointment or use “Ask A Nurse” to communicate in a secure portal with your doctor’s office.

For over 60 years, ADC has been dedicated to providing compassion and excellence in primary and specialty care to families across Austin and Central Texas. In 1952,
Dr. Henry Renfert, ADC’s founder, moved to Austin after completing his residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan. His dream was to build a “junior-size” Mayo Clinic in the Austin area. Over the years, the medical group he began has grown into one of the leading clinics in Central Texas.

As the clinic grew, ADC led the way in bringing new treatments and medical breakthroughs to Austin. ADC physicians continue this tradition of bringing new technologies to Central Texas.  ADC doctors have been the first to bring procedures such as tonsillectomy using tissue welding, surgeons using robotic assisted surgery, HD Endoscopy and Third Eye Colonoscopy.  Many of these procedures allow patients to recover faster with less pain and get back to work or the activities they love in a shorter time frame.

ADC is proud to be a part of a vibrant, socially conscious and active community.  Our staff and doctors often participate in public events such as health fairs, seminars and charity walks and runs, including the: Zilker Kite Festival, Trail of Lights, Salvation Army Angel Tree, the American Diabetes Association Walk for Diabetes, and the annual Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive.

As an ADC patient, you gain access to a network of health care that is convenient and ready to serve you. ADC is here for all of your family’s medical needs, and we look forward to welcoming you to your medical home.
