Austin, Texas Ranks 2nd Best




According to a Milken's annual list of Best-Performing Cities, Austin ranked 2nd behind San Jose, CA.  The list, which ranks the top 200 largest MSA's, ranks cities by using several key components, including job, wage and salary, and technology growth.

The Top 10 Metro areas are:

  1. San Jose - Sunnyvale - Santa Clara, CA
  2. Austin-Round Rock - San Marcos, TX
  3. Raleigh - Cary, NC
  4. Houston - Sugar Land - Baytown, TX
  5. Washington - Arlington - Alexandria, DC - VA - MD - WV
  6. Salt Lake City, UT
  7. Provo - Orem, UT
  8. Cambridge - Newton - Framingham, MA MD
  9. Charleston - North Charleston - Summerville, SC
  10. Fort Worth - Arlington, TX
