7 Great Reasons Why You Should Move To Austin, Texas

Here is a list of facts to help prove why Austin is such a great place to relocate to!

People who are considering moving to the Lone Star State may want to consider what Austin has to offer. There are 7 really good ones in fact, including of course the awesome live music scene that attract visitors from all over the world.

In their infographic called “7 Great Reasons Why You Should Move To Texas” native businesses My Epic Adventures and Austin Party Ride reveal some little known facts about the Texan city. For example, did you know that Austin was ranked as the 3rd fastest growing US city in the US in 2016? This is because the city’s economy is on the rise - GDP and GMP has been on the rise for the past year, while unemployment is steadily decreasing.

Surprisingly, Austin residents are still enjoying low cost of living, particularly low rental averages, but high home value for home investors. In fact, the median home price in 2014 was $245,000, but the average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment was $1068.

Another surprising fact is that Austin is a very diverse community in terms of age and ethnicity. There is no ethnic or demographic group that exists as a majority. More importantly, the city had the 3rd lowest crime rate in the country in 2012.

These are just a few reasons mentioned in the infographic, but already they make Austin a very compelling prospect for someone who’s looking for a better life in another city.
