Austin, Texas Real Estate Trends Lead the Nation

Austin has been named the top city on the Emerging Trends in Real Estate® 2017 list. The list is in its 38th year and provides an annual outlook for the real estate industry.  Using responses gathered from over 1,800 real estate investors, developers, lenders, consultants, and other industry professionals, this list helps capture important real estate trends for the coming year.  It also highlights cities across America who stand out above the rest.  Below is the top 5 cities listed for 2017:


1. Austin, Texas


2. Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas


3. Portland, Oregon


4. Seattle, Washington


5. Los Angeles, CA

Some of the top trends noted by the list include niche neighborhoods and economic diversity, both of which helped Austin gain the top position. Austin has many unique neighborhoods to choose from, and with such a diverse mixture of industries here, the city is attractive to workers and employers of all types.
