10/4/2016 UPDATE:

6/23/2016 UPDATE:
Nland has announced that due to some setbacks from Mother Nature (massive rainfall in the area), opening of the park is delayed.  The late spring open date has been pushed to early summer.  Stay tuned for details on their Grand Opening!

The Nland Surf Park is scheduled to bring the first inland public WaveGarden to the U.S. this Spring. The Austin, Texas park will offer perfectly tubing six foot waves every 60 seconds with a lengthy ride of 35 seconds per wave.

The site is located on 160 acres of overgrazed ranch land and will not draw water from nearby sources, instead relying on rain water catchment and storm water management to fill and maintain the pool.
