More Foreign Language Options for AISD Students




Austin-area students will soon have the opportunity to learn Arabic, Vietnamese, or Korean languages at school. Currently, American Sign Language, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin and Spanish are being taught at AISD schools. (See a list of which schools offer which languages here.) 

“As we continue toward globalization, it is paramount that we prepare our students for college, career and life by equipping them with the skills needed to authentically interact with individuals from diverse cultures,” said AISD World Languages Coordinator Tina Dong.
