Deciding which neighborhood to live in when you relocate to Austin can be a real challenge. It’s especially hard for those who have never been in Austin and who don’t have family or friends in the area. Having a trusted professional to advise and educate you about popular neighborhoods in the area is necessary for deciding on where you are going to work and live.

One of the most popular areas in Austin is in the Southwest region. Southwest Austin has long been a favorite of locals because of its beautiful Hill Country landscape, close proximity to downtown and excellent schools. The most well-known master-planned community in Southwest Austin is Circle C Ranch.

Located just 12 miles south of downtown Austin, Circle C Ranch boasts mature trees, proximity to major highways, access to great schools and luxurious community amenities. In addition to that, there are a host of entertainment and leisure options in close range to the neighborhood. Many of the homes in Circle C Ranch were built by award-winning home builders, which helps make this neighborhood a great value as well as a great place to live.

Circle C Ranch was established in the mid to late eighties. Because of the resounding success and popularity of the initial phase, several more Circle C communities were built and development continues today. Those communities include:

  • Circle C West
  • Circle C Park Place
  • Circle C Muirfield
  • Hielscher
  • Vintage Place
  • Alta Mira
  • Meridian
  • Avana
  • Grey Rock Ridge

Median home price in the Circle C Austin communities starts in the mid $300s. The price-per-square-foot starts at about $135. Home sizes typically range from 1,500 to 4,500 square feet. Some of most popular builders in Texas have built homes in Circle C Ranch, including K.B.Home, David Weekley, D.R. Horton, Standard Pacific and Cal-Atlantic Homes.

Circle C Ranch features the only heated, outdoor, Olympic-sized pool in Southwest Austin. Additionally, the community includes two recreation centers as well as parks and trails for residents to enjoy. Circle C also offers close and easy access to the Lady Birdy Johnson Wildflower Center and the Circle C Golf Club, which are both of which are very close to the community. Nearby shopping centers offer Circle C Ranch residents easy access to a premier movie theater, gourmet restaurants and shopping.
