Step 2.
After completing all your coursework, submit your real estate application and necessary fees, to TREC. You do not need a sponsoring broker to take the State licensing exam. TREC will review your application. You will then receive a Candidate Information Brochure (CIB). This CIB will provide instructions for scheduling and taking the licensing exam.
Some people will want an exam prep. After completing your coursework you will have a good idea if you need this extra help.
After passing the State exam you will be issued either an inactive license or your license will be sent to your sponsoring broker.

Step 3.
Go to work as a professional real estate agent after your broker receives your license.
