US Census Austin Population Growth

According the the U.S. Census Bureau, the Austin-Round Rock MSA has a population that is on the rise.  During the duration of July 1, 2017 and July 1, 2018 the Austin Round-Rock area added over 50,000 new residents. 

With the additional 53,086 new Austin residents, the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area worked their way to being third in the state for total numeric growth.  Out of all of the MSA's in the United States, Austin now ranks number seven in growth.

The total population of the Austin MSA July 1, 2017 was 2,115,230 and by July 1, 2018 that grew to a total population of 2,168,316. This increase is 2.5 percent and places the Austin MSA as far as growth is concerned out of all 390 metro areas in the United States.
